    At anautomotive manufacturing plant, operators manually picked and fed bulk plugs into the assembly line, creating repetitive work that reduced efficiency and increased fatigue. Automation was challenging due to the wide variety of plug shapes, which conventional systems struggled to handle reliably.

    CMES Robotics implemented an AI Vision–based Bin Picking Solution that detects the position, shape, and orientation of incoming plugs in real time.
    A custom-trained AI model identifies optimal picking points even when plugs are overlapping, tilted, or partially obstructed.

    CMES Robotics also engineered a specialized gripper designed specifically for robust plug handling, enabling the robot to precisely pick each plug and transfer it to the designated assembly line without error.

    The automated system significantly increased hourly picking throughput compared to manual work.
